What is Paintball and How to Play?

Slide 1
What is Paintball?
Paintball is an entertaining sport that involves a great deal of teamwork, strategy and fun. The game has been a show-stealer abroad and in metros in India and is often used as a stress-buster among working professionals.
The participants wear safety uniforms with protective headgear, shoot their opponent team members with 'paintballs' (marble-sized gelatin balls filled with food grade colours) using guns called ‘markers’, and conquer the opposing team’s frontier by capturing the flag. It is an environment-friendly sport that uses non-toxic paint that can be wiped off. The game can last from 5 minutes to 30 minutes and the team that has least eliminated members, wins.

What the event will offer for students
Paintball is a character-building sport. Players learn about teamwork, gain self-confidence and develop leadership abilities while having fun and getting welcome stress-relief. Like a game of chess, being able to think quickly and decisively is what makes you a star in paintball. Intelligence and determination, not merely strength, speed or agility, are key to success in the sport. Paintball is an exciting sport, and above all paintball is fun! It's a chance to shake off your day-to-day responsibilities and rekindle your spirit of adventure. When the adrenaline starts pumping, you can't help but love the thrill of the game!

Capture the Flag

Capture the flag is one of the most basic variations of paintball, but it is also one of the most fun to play. While the premise is simple, you can invent countless strategies and techniques to keep you constantly coming back for more.

Requirements

A field, two flags and some players. Flags can be as elaborate as a 3x5 foot flag on a pole or a simple as a plastic bag hanging on a tree. You should have at least four players but you can play with as many as you want - just make sure that your field is large enough to handle your numbers and not too big for a small group.
